Instagram Stories is my therapist. I talk to my phone to figure things out. I don’t check analytics to see if anyone is watching. I know a couple of people are because I get an occasional message, which is awesome, but I use Instagram Stories to think. I solve problems for myself and hopefully others on Instagram Stories. I’m a fixer.
I help people figure things out.
While pedaling my cruiser bike home from the grocery store yesterday, it suddenly dawned on me that I spend a lot of energy searching for problems to fix. I make daily tutorials and I’m always trying to make things easier or better for people. It made me laugh a little, but I came up with all of these little catch-phrases (i.e. I love problems, I seek problems, I brake for problems…) and thought, “I love problems” could really be my tagline, because I am a problem-solver. Always have been.
Problems = Tutorials. Darn it, I think I love problems. 🤓🤓
Creating and design is nothing more than problem solving and I think it’s why I am fascinated with making things. I’m not a great artist or designer or video guy, but I love the process of starting with nothing and ending up with something I made from scratch. What tool or program should I use? What colors, fonts, style? How do I animate it? Is it good? Who cares…just keep creating.
I drew this in Adobe Draw on my iPad using the Apple Pencil. I animated it in Photoshop. This took me less than 10 minutes total. It makes me smile. Problem solved.
