284: Digital Minimalism Tip: Export Evernote to Apple Notes
I use Apple Notes more than Evernote, so I consolidated.
This tutorial will show you how to export your notes out of Evernote and import them in to Apple Notes.
I like Evernote, but I use Apple Notes more. So I exported everything from Evernote to Apple Notes.

How To Export Evernote to Apple Notes
You can export ‘All Notes’ from Evernote if you want to export everything all at once (1a.) or, export ‘Notebooks’ to keep the same organizational structure of Evernote when you import to Apple Notes (1b.).

Step 1a. How To Export ‘All Notes’ from Evernote:
- Open Evernote
- Select ‘All Notes’ in Sidebar
- Click on a Note and Select All (Cmd + A)
- Click File > Export Notes
- Give it a Name
- Save in Location (Desktop)
- Choose ‘Evernote XML Format (.enex)
- Save
Step 1b. How To Export ‘Notebooks’ from Evernote:
- Open Evernote
- Select ‘Notebooks’ in Sidebar
- Select a Notebook
- Right-Click and select ‘Export Notes’
- Give it a Name
- Save in Location (Desktop)
- Choose ‘Evernote XML Format (.enex)
- Save
Step 2. How To Import to Apple Notes:
- Open Apple Notes
- Go to File > Import
- Select .enex file from Evernote export
- Click Import
- Read dialog box and click ‘Import Notes’
- Notes are saved to a folder called ‘Imported Notes’
- Click + New Folder
- Name Folder
- Click on ‘Import Notes’ folder
- Click on a note and Select All (cmd + a)
- Drag all notes to the New Folder you just created
- Delete the ‘Import Notes’ folder and repeat process.
