The Purpose of the Tutorial: Edit your Metadata Presets in Adobe Lightroom Classic CC or ‘Create a New Preset’ for Copyright ©2019 to Apply to your photos when importing to Lightroom.

How To Create Copyright Template in Adobe Lightroom Classic CC
To make the Copyright symbol (©) type:
On a Mac: Option G
On a PC: Hold down Alt and type the numbers 0169
Part 1: Edit Metadata Presets or Create New Preset
You want to create a copyright template you can apply to the metadata of your digital photos/videos when you import to Lightroom. Build the preset one time and update every year. When you import photos to Lightroom you just click on your copyright ©2019 template and your images/videos have your information baked into the files. 😎
- Open Adobe Lightroom Classic CC
- Go to the Library Module (Keyboard Shortcut = E)
- Click Metadata in Menu (must be in Library Module)
- Click Edit Metadata Presets
- Dialog Box Opens
- In Drop-down menu choose your ©2018 if you have one, or stay on ‘Custom’ to create new metadata preset for ©2019
- Fill in information (I use ‘IPTC Copyright’ & ‘IPTC Creator’ only)
(Website & Email are very important) - When finished, click on Drop-down menu up top
- Click ‘Save Current Settings as a New Preset’
- Give it a title like ©2019 Your Business Name
- Click Create
- Click Done
Part II: How To Apply Preset at Import
Once you create a copyright/metadata preset, you want to add the info each time you import new media to Lightroom. Right? Of course, you do. All you need to do is pick your template from the drop-down menu in ‘Apply During P
- Open Adobe Lightroom Classic CC
- Click Import Button Bottom Left, or go to File…Import, or Keyboard Shortcut = Shift + Command + i
- Go to the Right Sidebar, twirl down ‘Apply During Import’
- Select ©2019 Copyright Template
- Click ‘Import’
