237: iPhone Camera Tip: Preserve Settings

Change The Default Shooting Mode on Camera

Do you shoot more videos than photos on your iPhone?

Would you like the camera on your iPhone to open to Video mode instead of Photo mode?

The default shooting mode on iPhone is ‘Photo’. (when you open the Camera, it is ready to take a photo)
Preserve Settings changes the default shooting mode to the last mode used (Time-Lapse, Slo-Mo, Video, Photo, Portrait, Square, Pano).

  1. Open Settings
  2. Click Camera
  3. Click Preserve Settings
  4. Camera Mode…Tap Toggle On (Green)
Turn on Preserve Settings on iPhone
