216: Desktop Minimalism on Macs
Dark Menu Bar & Dock Settings

Mac Desktop Minimalism:
This tutorial will show you how to get a dark, clean look on your Mac.
1. Turn on Setting for Dark Menu Bar & Dock:
Click on Apple in Upper Left Corner
System Preferences
General
Check ‘Use Dark Menu Bar & Dock’
In Dropdown Choose ‘Graphite’ or ‘Blue’ (I use Graphite)

2. Dock Preferences
Right Click on Space between Apps & Folders (look for line separator)
Turn Hiding On
Position on Screen Left, Bottom or Right
Turn Magnification On or Off (I like it on)
Click Dock Preferences to Change Size and all settings

3. Desktop Cleanup
Go To Finder Preferences
General Tab
Show These Items on Desktop (Uncheck all)

4. Change Desktop Background
Right-click anywhere on Desktop
‘Change Desktop Background’
Solid Colors…Black or any color

5. Clean Menu Bar
I use Bartender 3 to clean up the menu bar
Hide what you don’t want to see up top
