How To Preserve Battery Life (Part 2):

  1. In Mail…Switch from Push to Fetch (Manual) (Settings>Mail>Accounts>Push>Fetch>Manual)
  2. Turn off Bluetooth (Settings>Bluetooth>Off)
  3. Turn Down Brightness (Swipe Up on Home-screen or swipe down from top right corner on iPhone X)
  4. Display & Brightness Set auto-lock to 30 seconds (Settings>Display & Brightness>Auto Lock>30 seconds)
  5. Turn on Night-Shift Mode (Swipe Up on Home-screen)
  6. Turn off Background Apps Refresh (see above) (Settings>General>Background Apps Refresh>Off)
  7. Turn off Location Services (Settings>Privacy>Location Services)

Lower Power Mode affects:

  • “Hey Siri”
  • Background app refresh
  • Automatic downloads
  • Some visual effects
  • Auto-Lock (defaults to 30 seconds)
