OS Sierra (10.12) Tip: Manage Hard Drive Space
(Video Tutorial at the end + Bonus Tip)

On a Mac:

Go To Apple Icon in Upper Left Corner ().

Click on Apple for lots of Goodness

Click About This Mac (Where to find serial # & OS Version, FYI for the next time you call Apple Care (🤓)

Click on Apple  in Upper Left

Click on Storage (Browse Hard Drives)
Click On Manage and you can start to manage hard drives.
Browse each directory and delete unwanted files.

Manage Disk Space

Store in iCloud is pretty cool and I use it.
I see my documents and desktop as normal( also works with photos/videos), but they are actually stored in iCloud to free up space.

Optimize Storage: Delete movies/videos you have already watched and re-download if you need

Empty Trash Automatically: If it’s in your trash can, it’s taking up hard drive space. Most people forget to delete. This feature does it for you (I prefer to manually do it, but I’m a nerd and do this sort of thing for fun)

Reduce Clutter: Get rid of the big files you do not need

Bonus Tip (For those who made it to the end):

The Keyboard shortcut for  is:
Option + Shift + K
