112: Quick Tip: Podcast Workflow & Organization of Folders & Files
Organize Your Podcast Files Before You Record & Create a shortcut in Finder to save time looking for folders. Stay Consistent. Do the same thing week after week and keep fine tuning and tweaking until you can do it without even thinking. My podcast used to take me 15–20 hours of actual time and now it’s under 5 (I put most of my time writing 2500 word scripts).
Podcast Organization & Workflow
Having a weekly podcast is a lot of work. In fact, it can be a real pain in the butt. As soon as you finish one show, the next one starts. FYI: My Podcast is called Mike Murphy Unplugged. I teach people how to make things online and to create a happy business (or at least try). It’s only me and it’s only 17 minutes long and it still takes a lot of time and effort. The more efficient I am, the easier it is and the better chance I have to avoid pod-fading.

Before I record I create my Episode Folder. I then take that folder and drag it to the side bar, so it’s easy to find when I save my podcast recordings.
