Writing Tools Mentioned:
750Words.com (Free): Mind hack/accountability partner. Write 750 words per day and get a gold star. It’s like Morning Pages to get you disciplined to write every day.
(**Confession: I may be faling 750Words…)
Workflowy (free): I really love this tool to outline ideas. It’s so clean and simple yet every time I use it, the ideas just ‘flow.’ Go figure.

Scrivener ($50 Desktop/$12 iOS)): Where I write my podcast and tutorial scripts and where I will be writing my entire book.
Ulysses ($44 Desktop/$25 iOS): A lot of buzz around this new writing tool and it looks very clean and feature rich. I downloaded the trial. It looks like Apple Mail and I would probably use it and like it, but I’m sticking with Scrivener.
Note-taking Writing Apps
Evernote: There are many smart people who swear by Evernote and write books in the app because it syncs on all devices and they can capture ideas anywhere. I’m an Evernote-drop out and no longer use it, but if you love it, consider writing your book in it.
Bear-Writing App: Direct from the landing page: “Bear is a beautiful, flexible writing app for crafting notes and prose.” I’ve downloaded it and it’s a simple note-taking app that has some cool and subtle features and is multi-markdown friendly, which I like.
