How To Remove A Green Screen in Camtasia
Removing a green (or blue) screen is Camtasia is technically called Chroma Keying. In Adobe Premiere Pro & After Effects you will get the highest quality results and you will be using the filter, Keylight.
Why Green or Blue Screens? Because of contrast
Most people do not have bright green or blue skin tones.
It’s also not common colors for clothing unless you are the Queen of England.
Using Camtasia or even Screenflow or OBS Software for LiveStreaming? You may want to use a green (or blue) screen to change out your background. It’s really easy to do.
In Camtasia:
Click on Visual Effects
Go to Match Color
Drag Match Color on Green Screen Clip
Use Hex Code #00FF00 for best Results
RGB:
Red: 0
Green: 255
Blue: 0
Drag Tolerance Slider until Edges are crisp and green is gone.
If using a Blue Screen or #00FF00 is not producing clean results, use the eyedropper tool in the color swatches. That’s what it’s designed for, but using pure green tends to be more consistent in Camtasia.
